Today, I learned about the gut-wrenching tragedy of a woman burned alive in a New York subway by a Guatemalan illegal immigrant. Let that sink in—a woman burned alive in one of America’s most iconic cities by someone who never should have been here in the first place.
This is the grim reality of sanctuary policies and the chaos they have unleashed. In New York City, a so-called "sanctuary city," crime has surged, and safety has become a distant memory. Mayor Eric Adams, who once proudly rolled out the red carpet for illegal immigrants, now stands helpless in the face of the crisis he helped create.
Even more insulting is New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s recent claim that the city’s subway system is “safe.” Safe? For whom? Tell that to the woman who was horrifically set on fire, a victim of the sanctuary policies that embolden violent criminals. Tell that to the countless New Yorkers who are attacked, robbed, or worse every day while simply trying to commute. Governor Hochul’s out-of-touch statement is not only a slap in the face to the victims but also proof of the denial that plagues our leaders.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Across the country, stories of heinous crimes committed by illegal immigrants continue to pile up. In Maryland, an illegal immigrant raped and murdered a young girl. In California, MS-13 gang members—many of them here illegally—brutally slaughtered teenagers as part of their reign of terror. In Texas, a mother and her child were murdered by an illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal history. The list is endless and infuriating.
And what have sanctuary city policies done? They’ve protected these monsters. They’ve given them safe havens, taxpayer-funded benefits, and a legal system that bends over backward to shield them from deportation. All while hardworking American citizens bear the cost—in lives lost, families shattered, and communities terrorized.
Mayor Adams, you must resign. Your failure to lead and protect has turned New York City into a dystopian nightmare. You welcomed illegal immigrants with open arms, gave them free housing, and ignored the escalating violence until it reached this horrifying tipping point. This woman’s death is on your hands—and the hands of every other official who has embraced the madness of sanctuary policies.
To every American who values safety, sovereignty, and justice, let this tragedy be a rallying cry. The era of coddling criminals under the guise of compassion must end. Mass deportations aren’t racist—they’re common sense. We must prioritize the safety of our citizens over the feelings of lawbreakers. If that means separating families, so be it. If that means loading up buses and sending them across the border, do it now. The sooner, the better.
This is no longer just about politics—it’s about survival. The image of a woman burned alive in a subway will haunt us forever, but it must also galvanize us. It’s time to take back our cities, our communities, and our country. No more excuses, no more pandering, and no more sanctuary for those who bring chaos and destruction to our doorstep.
Enough is enough.
